Standards of Quality for Family Strengthening and Support Certification Training
The nationally-adopted Standards of Quality for Family Strengthening & Support are used by public departments, foundations, networks, community-based organizations, and parents used as a tool for planning, providing, and assessing quality practice.

Based on the Principles of Family Support Practice and the Strengthening Families Framework and its research-based evidence-informed 5 Protective Factors, they have created a common language across different kinds of Family Strengthening and Family Support programs such as Family Resource Centers, home visiting programs, and child development programs.

This certification training details how the Standards can enhance work with families. Whether you are setting up a new program or strengthening an existing one, the Standards provide a blueprint for implementing best practice.

Participants from Programs are highly encouraged to come as teams with Executive Directors, Managers, Coordinators, and Direct Service Staff, as each has a key role to play in implementing the Standards effectively. Participants who successfully complete will receive a certificate from the National Family Support Network that is valid for two years.

The training will begin promptly at 9:00 AM. Please plan accordingly, as latecomers will not receive certificates. This is an interactive training, so participants are expected to be on camera throughout the entire training.

The training will require your full attention, so please make arrangements to support your engaged participation, such as not being in a car and arranging childcare, if needed. Please not there will be breaks, but not a traditional 12-1 lunch break, so please do not plan things during this time.
